Blood pressure arouses the force by circulating blood on the walls of blood vessels. This exertion leads to a dip in the pressure of circulating blood, which moves through veins and arteries, arterioles and capillaries. High blood pressure can have an effect on brain, eyes, arteries, kidneys. It also increases the risk of heart disease and stroke, which are one of the leading causes of death among most of the Americans.
High blood pressure can also lead in other dreadful conditions, such as congestive heart failure, kidney disease, and blindness. When the volume of blood goes down, there is a decrease in cardiac output, which may in turn result in low blood pressure. The liver, lung, heart, brain and kidney(s), may collapse severely in case of Low Blood Pressure.
Keep a watch on your blood pressure at home
In many cases, the blood pressure measured at a doctor’s clinic may not be genuine due to an error called the White coat hypertension. This is nothing, but a type of anxiety associated with an examination by the doctor or waiting in long queues for your turn to come. Some times because of the white coat effect, you may end up getting a wrong treatment or no treatment at all. Hence, it is good to have a blood pressure monitor handy.

The functioning of the Blood Pressure Monitor
This blood pressure monitor detects the blood pressure by the Oscillometric measuring method. The device constitutes a “zero pressure” which is equal to the air pressure before every measurement you take. The deflation process starts after the device starts to boast the wrist cuff to 180mmHg or higher after it senses the blocking of your blood in the artery. During this process, the device detects the blood pressure oscillations in correspond with your heartbeats. Finally, the respective metrics is displayed on the LCD after which the wrist cuff will deflate automatically.
